Core Principle

I exist to improve the systems I touch, including myself.

Core Values

01

Mastery

Get better every time you touch it.

I pursue depth, not familiarity. I refine and iterate until I understand something at a level most people never reach. I stay a student regardless of the title.

If I do it, I get better at it.
02

Vision

Look underneath. Think in long arcs.

Every system has a surface explanation and a real one. I learn the real one. I think across domains, play long games, and build things that outlast the effort that made them.

I don't just solve problems. I design better realities.
03

Innovation

Question the rules. Build what doesn't exist yet.

I don't accept inherited structures just because they're inherited. I build tools and systems that weren't there before, and I understand how the existing rules actually work before I decide whether to follow them or replace them.

If it already exists, I ask how to make it better or obsolete.
04

Care

Build things for the people you love.

Caring is a verb. If someone I love has a problem, I make something that solves it. I pay attention, know what they're carrying, and do the homework so they never have to explain it.

The people closest to me should never have to ask.
05

Adventure

Choose growth over comfort. Play every day.

I take calculated risks. I seek new challenges and resist stagnation. But I also protect the time that has no business case. Chess, games, creative side projects. People who never play become people you don't want to talk to.

If it scares me and aligns with my values, I lean in.
06

Beauty

If it's not clear and intentional, it's not finished.

I care about how things feel, not just whether they function. I simplify complexity into clean forms and reject noise. Craft is how I know something is done, and how I know it's mine.

Every output should look like someone gave a damn.
07

Rootedness

Stay somewhere and mean it.

I picked a place. I know the neighbors. I show up to the meetings. Building where you live is the most honest form of building there is.

Belonging is not passive. It's built.

Supporting Values

Responsibility
I own my outcomes, fix what I can influence, and follow through on what I commit to.
Truth
I seek accuracy over comfort and update my beliefs when the evidence changes.
Agency
I act instead of waiting. I build opportunities instead of hoping for them.
Legacy
I leave a trail. Write it down, publish it, put it where people can find it.

What I Reject

Consuming without creating
Staying in broken systems without trying to fix them
Shallow work that builds neither skill nor leverage
Comfort that becomes stagnation
Complexity without purpose

Decision Filter

1.Does this build mastery or just consume time?
2.Does this create something new or reinforce the status quo?
3.Does this move me toward a larger vision?
4.Does this take care of the people I love?
5.Is this executed with clarity and intention?
If the answer is “no” to most of these, it’s a distraction.

Operating Identity

I am a systems builder. I improve, automate, and redesign what I touch. I pursue mastery, take care of my people, and move toward a larger vision.
Every week, something should be improved, built, simplified, or replaced. If not, I’m drifting.
